"Allie Croaker's Favorite" appears in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) and Cole's 1000 Fiddle
Tunes (1940) as a reel in A dorian. Online searches will find results for "Allie Croker",
"Ally Croker" and "Ally Crocker" but they are different tunes in G or D. There is also a song
attributed to Lawrence (Larry) Grogan of Johnstown Castle, County Wexford, who was the first
performer on the improved version of the Irish pipes called the uilleann or (archaically)
Union pipes.
I did find this version in a collection of .abc files but there was no background information
available.
